I understand that getting great results for my clients while fully protecting their interests at every step is Job One. Everything else falls neatly in line after that. If there is something I would do when buying or selling my own home, I owe nothing less to each and every client. I started my real estate career as a seller's agent in 1988, then began working primarily as a buyer's agent in 1998. In 2008, I began to seek a more balanced mix of buyer and seller clients. I took everything I had learned about working closely with buyers for ten years to make me better at helping my buyers and my sellers to get better results and to have better experiences. I take my role of fiduciary for each client very seriously and---unlike nearly all other agents in Massachusetts---I never work as a dual agent. The company I founded in 1991, Kuhlman Residential, only practices true buyer or seller agency, making sure each client receives full representation throughout the transaction, with no potential conflicts of interest. I try to learn something of value from each transaction and to continue to improve what I do for my clients. And I know that every real estate market creates opportunities for buyers and sellers. One of my favorite quotes comes from NHL great, Wayne Gretzky. When someone asked him what made him different from other hockey players, he said, "I skate to where the puck is going to be, not where it has been." That's what I try to do with my business. I am very proud to say I have served as President of the Massachusetts CRS Chapter in 2012, and was the Chapter's CRS of the Year in 2010. I continue to serve on committees for CRS at the national level.
